The purpose of this course is to continue the study of algebra and geometry, and to provide the foundation for applying algebraic skills to other mathematical and scientific fields. The content includes:
1. Linear and quadratic functions and their applications
2. Structure and properties of the real and complex number system
3. Arithmetic and geometric sequences and series
4. Relations, functions, and graphs extended to polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions
5. Varied solution strategies, including technology, for solving quadratic equations
6. Circles and right triangle trigonometry, and their applications
7. Data analysis, including measures of central tendency and dispersion
8. Probability, permutations, and combinations
